The Academy

Students of Scientology studyL. Ron Hubbard’s technology in a courseroom area called the Academy. This study is called “training”. It enables one to learn the exact technology of how to audit. By teaching the basic principles of the mind, and how to handle life itself

Auditing lets one see how something happened, training teaches one why. By becoming trained, a person becomes able to use the truths found in Scientology writings to accomplish the purpose of improving conditions in life. A trained Scientologist can bring to bear what he has learned in the Academy to any situation in life and he can do something about it.

At the Los Angeles church's Academy, students study in a total of nine individual courserooms with a capacity of 295 students. In the Academy's film room, they view technical films written by L Ron Hubbard, and see how to apply the technology of auditing precisely as laid out by Mr. Hubbard in his Scientology writings.
