The Scientology Environment
Some of the staff of the Church of Scientology of Los Angeles |
While most people recognize the need for a stronger emphasis on religion in their lives, as a general rule, none are as actively committed to the practice of their religion as Scientologists. Whereas many members of congregational religions meet only on Sundays, Scientologists in addition to their career and family commitments, may spend several hours each day, five days a week for a period of several weeks at their church while receiving auditing or training. Many are also highly committed to church-sponsored community betterment programs.

Such dedication to advancing spiritually and to forwarding the aims of the Church, is indicative of the fact that Scientologists have experienced, firsthand, the benefits of
Mr. Hubbards technology. They know they have become brighter, more aware and more able all to the benefit of their careers, their families and their lives in general and know, too, that such gains can be had by others.
The atmosphere in a Church of Scientology is what one would expect to find in a place where people are doing well, where they are learning about things, where they are actively pursuing their goals and succeeding. It is alive, cheerful and the hope of a better world seems to imbue every activity. The church is a friendly place and anyone is welcome.
